This is an offshoot of Mambo. It consists of 2 slow steps and 3 quick steps (cha cha cha)

Rumba

This is the dance of love!   It is the spirit and soul of Latin American music and dance

Samba

This is a carnival dance - it's fun and exciting and makes you feel like celebrating

Jive

A fast, fun, exciting dance orginating from boogie-woogie before World War II

Paso Doble

A powerful dance depicting bull fighting and the toreador

Latin teaches self discipline, poise and strength.  It’s a fun way to learn co-ordination and rhythm We have classes for all ages from three years to adults and from beginners classes to advanced level. Classes are always with students of similar abilities. Exams are taken twice a year according to  the students being ready.

PARTNERS

When the students are competent we look for a partner of similar age, height and ability so the students can learn to dance together. We encourage partnerships from an early age as this stimulates and develops co-ordination and confidence

COMPETITION

Being the top Medallist School in the North West in Modern Ballroom and Latin American from 2003-2010 and many years previous, we thrive in making sure our pupils dance and compete at the highest standard possible for each pupil. Competitions are danced with the Teacher for one event and with a partner for the others.
 
All classes and lessons are run by high quality, fully qualified and experienced staff.
